Вербальні та невербальні засоби в англомовній комунікації

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано невербальні засоби, описано їх особливості та функціонування. Простежено вза¬ємозв’язок і взаємозалежність кількох знаків у межах тексту. Виявлено особливості вербальних та невербаль¬них компонентів як складників різних знакових систем. Звернуто увагу на те, що характерною ознакою сучасної англомовної писемної комунікації є симбіоз неоднорідних семіотичних ресурсів, які належать до кількох знакових систем. Обґрунтовано особливості невербальних одиниць, які, як і вербальні, можуть бути контекстуально залежними, часто вступають у парадигматичні зв’язки, маючи синоніми, антоніми, омоніми, є також полісемантичними одиницями, виконують різну синтаксичну роль. Окреслено предмет дослідження кількох напрямів досліджень, а саме: графічної лінгвістики, візуальної лінгвістики, мультимодальної лінгвіс¬тики, паралінгвістики, медіа-лінгвістики та лінгвістики тексту. Схарактеризовано семантичні, стилістичні, орфографічні та синтаксичні особливості комунікації в сучасному англомовному Інтернет-просторі. Розкрито специфіку мультимодальної грамотності в цифрове століття. Наголошено на мультимодальному характері спілкування. In this article different types of non-verbal signs have been analyzed. The peculiarities and the functioning of these signs have been described. The interdependence and interconnection of verbal and non-verbal components of communication have been analyzed. The distinct features of verbal and non-verbal means of communication as constituent parts of different sign systems have been identified. Attention is directed to the fact that a distinct feature of modern English written communication is the symbiosis of multiple semiotic resources which belong to several different sign systems. Attention is given to non-verbal means which, in the same manner as verbal ones, can be context-dependent, and can often have paradigmatic relations, in that they may have synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms, may be polysemantic, and may perform a variety of different syntactic functions. The subject of the research of the following disciplines has been described: graphic linguistics, visual linguistics, multimodal linguistics, paralinguistics, media linguistics and text linguistics. Semantic, stylistic, orthographic and syntactic peculiarities of modern communication in the Internet have been analyzed. Attention is also paid to the multimodal literacy in the digital age. One of the distinctive features of modern communication is its multimodal character.
