| Abstract: | Досліджено концептуалізацію болю в англійській мові на основі прикметників із відомого в медичних колах питальника МакГілл. Визначено вихідні та метафоричні значення відібраних лексем й охарактеризовано їх уживання вдомені болю. The article deals with the conceptualization of pain in English language. The research has been done on the basis of the adjectives from the McGill Pain Questionnaire. The author has defined basic and metaphorical meanings of the selected lexemes and characterized their usage in the domain of pain. |
