Особливості вербалізації концепту FREEDOM в американському політичному дискурсі в період глобалізації

Abstract

У статті описано особливості вербалізації концепту FREEDOM в американському політичному дискурсі в період глобалізації. Оскільки свобода займає найвищий щабель в ієрархії цінностей, що складають основу політичного дискурсу, то концепт FREEDOM належить до його базових концептів. Досліджуваний концепт розглянуто як елемент ментальних і психічних ресурсів нашої свідомості – як лінгвокогнітивне явище. На основі матеріалу політичного дискурсу проведено опис та аналіз концепту методом побудови номінативного поля, а саме ядра й периферії, реалізованих у дискурсі виконавців різних інституційних ролей, оскільки відправник та адресат набувають різних соціальних ролей, залежно від їх участі в політичному житті. Аналіз наповнення ядра концепту FREEDOM здійснено за два етапи. На першому етапі побудовано ядро дискурсу політиків-професіоналів, мовні засоби для якого отримано методом суцільної вибірки із промов політичних лідерів періоду глобалізації. На другому етапі побудовано ядро концепту FREEDOM у дискурсі пересічних громадян, мовні засоби для наповнення якого зібрано від респондентів-виборців за допомогою опитування із застосуванням методу синонімічного заміщення. Проведений аналіз дав підставу виокремити й описати риси схожості та відмінності ядра концепту FREEDOM у дискурсах політиків-професіоналів і виборців – пересічних громадян, а також установити їх зв’язок та залежність від геополітичних процесів. The article describes the peculiarities of verbalization of the concept FREEDOM in American political discourse in the period of globalization. As freedom takes the highest level in the hierarchy of values that serves as the basis of political discourse, the concept FREEDOM belongs to its basic concepts. The concept under investigation is considered as an element of mental and psychological resources of our consciousness – as lingual-cognitive phenomenon. In this research, based on the material of political discourse, the description and analysis of the concept was held by building the nominative field, namely, the core and peripherals, implemented in the discourse by agents of different institutional roles as the speaker and the addressee obtain different social roles, based on their involvement in political life. The article covers the analyses of the content of the core of the concept FREEDOM, which was conducted in two stages. During the first stage the core of the concept in the professio¬nal politicians’ discourse was built, language means for which were selected from the speeches of political leaders. During the second stage, the core of the concept under consideration was built in the discourse of ordinary citizens. The linguistic means for that stage of investigation were collected from respondents-voters by interviewing, using the method of synonymic replacement. The analysis allowed us to distinguish and describe the similarities and differences in the core of the concept FREEDOM in the discourse of politicians-professionals and voters – ordinary citizens, enabled us to define the relationship and connection of characteristics of the investigated core with geopolitical events.
