Реалізація мовленнєвого впливу в сучасному англомовному релігійному дискурсі

Abstract

У статті розглядається реалізація мовленнєвого впливу в сучасному англомовному релігійному дискурсі через пояснювальну комунікативну стратегію. Дослідження проводиться на матеріалі англомовної протестантської проповіді. Проповідь характеризується як один із жанрів сучасного релігійного дискурсу, зокрема встановлюються особливості протестантської проповіді та її відмінності від православної. Беручи до уваги напрацювання науковців, які займалися вивченням стратегічної організації тексту, подається визначення поняттю «комунікативна стратегія». Виокремлюється пояснювальна стратегія як одна з основних, через яку здійснюється мовленнєвий вплив від проповідника на реципієнта, яким є миряни, члени церковної громади. Пояснювальна стратегія реалізується через ряд комунікативних тактик: тактику ствердження, тактику інформування, тактику структурування проповіді, тактику аргументації, тактику апелювання до авторитету, тактику екземпліфікації. Комунікативні тактики пояснювальної стратегії описуються шляхом аналізу мовних засобів їх вираження. Мовленнєвий вплив у виокремлених тактиках здійснюється через риторичні фігури та стилістично-синтаксичні засоби, окремі лексеми і граматичні структури, через тлумачення шляхом наведення синонімів, встановлення опозиції, через порівняння. Використання усіх зазначених засобів сприятиме кращому розумінню догматів та канонів Церкви, проблем, з якими стикається мирянин, та шляхів їх вирішення. Ефективне застосування пояснювальної стратегії у жанрі проповіді через її тактики може слугувати підвалиною для виконання домінантної функції усього сучасного релігійного протестантського дискурсу – навернення людини до Бога і переконання її в єдино правильному християнському вченні. Розповсюдження цього вчення серед вірних і є тим перлокутивним ефектом, якого намагається досягнути християнський проповідник. The article discusses the realization of speech influence in the modern English religious discourse through the explanatory communicative strategy. The English Protestant sermon served as the material for carrying out the research. Sermon is characterized as one of the genres of modern religious discourse; in particular, peculiarities of the Protestant sermon are ascertained as well as its differences from the Orthodox one are elucidated. Taking into account the achievements of the scholars who were engaged in the study of the strategic organization of the text, the definition of the notion “communicative strategy” is presented. An explanatory strategy is singled out as one of the main ones, according to which speech influence is exercised from the preacher to the recipient, which are the laity, members of the church community. The explanatory strategy is implemented through a series of communicative tactics: assertion tactics, information tactics, sermon structuring tactics, argumentation tactics, authority-appealing tactics, and exemplification tactics. Communicative tactics of the explanatory strategy are described by analyzing the linguistic means of their expression. Speech influence in the selected tactics is carried out with the help of rhetorical figures and stylistic-syntactic means, single lexemes and grammatical structures, through interpretation by means of synonyms, by establishing opposition, through comparison. The use of all these means will contribute to a better understanding of the Church dogmas and canons, the problems the lay people face and the ways to solve them. The effective use of the explanatory strategy in the genre of sermon through its tactics can serve a basis for fulfilling the dominant function of the modern religious Protestant discourse – converting a person to God and convincing them of the solely correct Christian doctrine. Spreading this teaching among the faithful is that perlocutionary effect the Christian preacher is trying to achieve.
